Gardening enthusiasts can enjoy the great outdoors as they visit the magnificent grounds of Heronswood at Dromana with its sweeping views of Port Phillip Bay.
Regular events are the Heronswood Garden Festival, held in March and November, and the Rosebud Family Festival, held on the last weekend in November.
But our main attraction is the beaches. Sandbars extending up to 200 metres from the shore create ideal conditions for safe bathing, and offer clear calm water perfect for exploring. The more adventurous can hire a charter boat or a catamaran and set out into the depths of the bay. But if it is waves you are after, Gunnamatta Ocean Beach at Rye has some of the best waves in Victoria.
